Large 4″ x 8″ fused glass display stand for 7″ – 12″ squares or rectangular artwork. Sturdy and colorful stand base is made with 3form, a proprietary product made in Salt Lake City Utah using recycled materials. Through a variety of partnerships with reuse centers, including the Habitat for Humanity Restore, the off spec or slightly odd sheets are available to artists. This partnership brings a material that would normally be too expensive for display stands into an affordable range. And I love it!
Each sheet is cut down to size by me, in my shop in South Salt Lake City UT using electric table and chop saws. The stands are sanded, edged, drilled and stainless steel rods inserted. Rods are coated with clear heat shrink tubing to avoid scratching.
