Eco resin is a proprietary product of 3Form made with up to 40% recycled materials. Through a partnership with the Restore (a creative reuse center) these materials are available to artists for all sorts of projects. We like them best as stands for glass artwork!
The stainless steel rods are 1/8″ thick and coated with a clear heat shrink plastic to protect your artwork. The taller rods are 1.5″ tall, and the shorter center support rod is 1/4″ tall. This rod supports your artwork a bit above the stand.
The stands are sized for artwork that is 1/4″ to 5/16″ thick (4-6mm) a standard fusing thickness for two layers of art glass or two layers of single strength float glass or one layer of 1/4″ float glass. The rods are quite sturdy with a very little flex to firmly grip your artwork without squeezing it too tightly. Clean stands with warm soapy water if necessary, Isopropyl, Acetone and other solvents will damage Ecoresin.
Designed with the artist in mind, these stands are low profile and unobtrusive giving the spotlight to your artwork.
