Classic hardwood stands for fused or stained glass artwork. Each stand is cut from mill scrap from a local furniture manufacturing firm, rescuing wood that would otherwise be landfilled. These stands are made from Red Alder, which is a very stable hardwood, needing no additional finishing or maintenance. We carefully sand each stand and finish with two coats of hand applied matte Danish Oil finish.
The stainless steel rods are 1/8″ thick and coated with a clear heat shrink plastic to protect your artwork. The taller rods are 1.75″ tall, and the shorter center support rod is 1/2″ tall. This rod supports your artwork one half inch above the stand.
Hardwood stands are wonderful for traditional designs, and contrast beautifully with modern design pieces.
