Recycled Glass Classes and Workshops
Classes – multiple day in person classes that may be spread over weeks. These classes are more in depth and include many projects.
Into to Glass Fusing
Intro to Glass Fusing
January 18 – February 8, Thursday evenings 6:30 – 9 p.m.
Fusing for folks with little or no experience. This is a four week class that explores fusing with recycled glass for 2 weeks, and fusing with fusible art glass for 2 weeks. Designed to give students a solid background in glass fusing science and theory, no matter what type of glass they choose to specialize in later. Class is limited to 8 students.
Class fees: Class is $275 + $50 materials fee for a total of $325 per person. Materials fee includes all materials, glass and firings.
Workshops – one day workshops that usually focus on one type of project or technique.
Fused Glass Angels Workshop
Choose your angel style and make a beautiful 3D angel. No experience necessary. All materials and firings are included. October 14, 10 – 1 p.m. $125
Fused Glass Snowflake Workshop
Annual snowflake and star making workshop. The recycled window glass is all cut, come and go wild making as many snowflakes and stars and you can during the workshop. Patterns will be available, or make your own designs. November 11, 10 – 1 p.m. $125
Private Workshops/Events
Private workshops are now available. Choose your topic, gather your friends and let’s get you on the calendar. Great for corporate events, parties, retreat, girls night out.
Online Streaming Courses
Working with Curious Mondo, a Salt Lake City Utah based online education company, Jodi has recorded a library of online courses that are available on demand to watch from your home, anytime you like.
Courses are between 6 and 15 hours long and cover a very wide range of topics. Each course is yours to keep and watch as many times as you like. Please note that course pricing is set by Curious Mondo and may change without notice.

Fusing for the Holidays

The class with the MOST patterns and projects. Join Jodi and make 3 projects per hour for 9 hours, each hour is focussed on a different holiday. Patterns included with course purchase.
Fused Glass Garden Art

This class covers a whole flock of garden art projects for fusing, all with recycled glass! We make windchime and suncatchers, planters, bird feeders and plant stakes. All patterns are included with the course.
Advanced Displays for Glass Art

This course builds on the DIY Displays for Glass Art and covers concrete bases, acrylic bases, jewelry stands and fabricating with aluminum
Fused Glass Jewelry
On Demand
Learn to make all sorts of recycled glass jewelry with Jodi. We’ll begin by learning how to make recycled glass kiln formed beads and focal pieces using fusing, casting and other techniques.

Fancy Fused Glass Jewelry

Advanced Mold Making for Glass

This action and idea-packed class builds on the Mold Making for Glass Artists class, expanding some concepts, and digging deeply into others. We will cover multiple techniques, view multiple projects and walk through a lost wax casting from making the original to breaking out the glass after firing.
Print, Silkscreen and Stamp on Glass
On Demand
An in depth course about adding images, photos, words, patterns, and pictures to fused glass. Not only will Jodi teach you how to use all of these amazing additions to your glass, she will show you how to make your own silk screens, stamps, stencils and decals.
Painting on Glass

We will start with small projects like 2 layer flowers, and work up to multi layer florals. But wait, it’s not all about flowers! We will also learn to design our own mandalas for painting, and design optical illusions for multi layer glass. Don’t miss this colorful and undoubtedly messy class, fun guaranteed!
Fusing with Window (Float) Glass

Float glass is a blank canvas just waiting for your creativity! Learn how to identify different types of window glass and fuse with them. We will learn to identify the tin side of float glass, and what that means for you. Explore how to add metals and other inclusions to your float glass for more complicated designs.
Lost Wax Casting Creatures
On Demand Learn about different types of silicone for mold making, modeling wax, changing forms before molding, altering wax forms, calculating and pouring plaster casting molds, calculating glass volume, Firing schedules and annealing, coldworking your final projects, and more!
DIY Sconce Hardware

Are you all ready to make DIY wall sconces? Do you have some great lighting ideas, but the premade hardware is too expensive, or the wrong size? Not to worry, Jodi is here with a special class on making custom wall sconce hardware and hangers. With a few hand tools, and some basic materials from the hardware store, you can make your own sconces lickety split!
Garden Lanterns

Love the idea of fused glass lanterns but want something more customized? Join us to learn how to design and build your own fused glass lanterns from common materials. Jodi will show you how to design two different types of lanterns, what tools you will need, and how to use them.

Gilding and Metal Leafing on Glass

We will review different kinds of adhesive, different types of metal leaf, liquid leaf and other techniques in this exciting class.
